Thanks for being so Blunt Roy

Repulsive (Rep.) Roy Blunt

Repulsive (Rep.) Roy Blunt

When asked live on CNN, why the bill didn’t pass the vote, Blunt Roy said that due to the Jewish Holidays they had to rush the bill and it’s details… Yeah well maybe if you just throw us all in gas chambers (and do a better job next time – use a more powerful chemical), then Rosh Hashanah won’t get in the way of cleaning up the mess your party created… Thanks for being so Blunt Roy. Come to think of it, can anyone recall anyone ever using Jews as scapegoats in a bad economy? Ummm – let me think.. Nope i am blanking. Now Roy, get back to lynching some in Missouri … Sorry – needed to vent.  What a stupid thing to say (sure you meant well).

God Blessed America – Now That Is Over, Wake The F@!k Up

September 15, 2008

Have you ever taken a huge dump after a formidable meal and peered down the toilet bowl to inspect your creation and thought “I made that mess?”. Welcome to the world of the Republican Party. They have been taking a dump on this country and the world for the past 8 years. We are not talking an angel poo but a big stanky dump that leaves marks and doesn’t flush too well… In fact to flush this turd, I would have to go against my environmental principles and double flush. Yes that’s right, George W. and his party of sphincter-folk have been taking a shit in your cereal bowl for the past 8 years (ever wondered what that taste was) – what are you gonna do about it?

What are you gonna do? Scariest part is that you might actually vote for Failin’ Pailin’ and that walking corpse of a babysitter John McCain. That is a very scary prospect for this country given the challenges it faces and the type of leadership and governance it needs to get out of this mess. But let’s back up for a few…

We all know that America is the land o’ plenty, the land of opportunity, the world’s leading innovator, the wealthiest nation, the most powerful nation and the most democratic nation on earth. Uh… No it’s not. It was and that is the problem with America. America is the flash prick that walks around the night club buying Crystal and wearing the biggest diamond crusted watch imaginable – all paid for with a Chinese-Saudi credit card. America should and could be great but right now it needs a band-aid and fuck-load of Tylenol (not the CVS brand) to be able to handle the headache that is here now and yet to come. We really need band-aid (made in the US). Whereas, the GOP are ready to go out into the world and put some more ‘tiger balm on the jungle’s nuts’. Just what the world needs a bunch of hornet’s nest stirrers.

I must preface, I live in the US and I love my life here… I have a wonderful life but I am scared as hell… Unemployment is at 6.1%, we are suffering the worst economic downturn in 50 years. Goldman Sachs – quite literally, Lehman Brothers is about as stable as alcoholic on red bull, and nobody is buying property – some house values have dropped 50% in fact, we have spent over $10 trillion under Bush (almost $1T on Mess-o-Potamia), we do not innovate, we cannot compete globally, there is clearly a problem with democracy here, the middle class who made this country is dwindling away and the poor are getting poorer (crime rates will soar). Not to forget, crumbling infrastructure, no equality in health care and the insane cost of education (is it any wonder that ordinary folk stay poor and un-educated)… But wait! I have the perfect solution for all of this…. Vote McCain/Palin. If this country does that, it deserves what is coming next… Scary part is there is a 50:50 chance of that happening.

Or maybe the adage “you can’t help someone who doesn’t want to be helped” is the bitter reality of this country. I really hope not. So please, stop and think and be Americans and NOT AmeriMcCains Remember a true patriot does question and doesn’t just accept the status quo. Show the world that America is a place of racial tolerance and open-mindedness and that it wants to look forward. Above all else, let’s flush that huge GOP turd down the drain…

A good friend recently sent me a link to a Matt Damon video on YouTube on Palin… I urge you to watch it (see below). He was totally on the money.

Palin Comparison

August 29, 2008
Can't even bare to look at each other

They can't even look at each other!

Shock & awe! Shocked that McCain would pick such a lame duck and in awe that he has so masterfully sealed the fate of his parties election hopes.

This is a man who berates Sen. Obama for his inexperience and then goes and picks the uber-rookie as his veep. I don’t know about you, but I feel a feeling of warmth come over me – almost like I am surrounded in a warm blanket when I realize, that, should McCain win this election (he won’t), and if, he kicks the bucket (likely) or falls ill (likely), that his veep, Sarah Palin would be able to steer this great nation because she once won a beauty pageant.

As an Alaskan however, she is ideally suited for carving up the oil resources in that state and we all know how much McCain and his party lurve oil.

Alaskans are also ideally placed to define America’s foreign policy. Alaska (although beautiful) is in the middle of nowhere, populated by only 600,000 people, and nobody wants to go there save for wildlife trips. This means it is fairly isolated. Ideal qualities to produce America’s ideology for foreign policy.

In addition, Ms. Palin, is pro-life but loves guns. I mean I am fairly intelligent but feel a little confused about this? She wants to preserve life at all costs but will blow your fucking head off if she had the chance or at least believes it is her right to. Ummm – yeah, right.

Oh but wait, she is a woman! So McCain hopes this will work out in his favor. Maybe – but not when the woman is about as experienced as a Mormon virgin on prom night. In addition, the only Palin I know who is qualified at anything is Michael and the last I heard, Monty Python don’t do politics.

Seriously though, Obama picked Biden as he acknowledged that he needed a wise owl on his team. Someone who would complement his skills and persona and help bridge the gap between him and the working and middle classes. Biden does that and above all he is an excellent politician and a true patriot – noting that true patriots do criticize and question (it’s how they make their countries better). Whereas, McCain it seems just picked his VP for the sake of it. He wanted to make a statement and break from the norm of other GOP’ers. I believe this was a huge error. People will a) see through this and b) realize the aging McCain who looks even older next to Palin, is simple handing the reigns (in the event of his death or illness) to a pro-life, gun-toting, in-experienced person who is not equipped to lead this country into an Arby’s let alone the future.

America – do you really want to elect a man who would pick his VP as a matter of one-up-manship? What does that say about McCain as a person – think about it. And, if you think all the Hillary supporters will now support McCain because he picked a female VP – think again. That won’t happen. Fundamentally, a woman has a right to choose whether we like it or not. If Palin was pro-choice this would have been a huge blow to Obama. But pro-life and pro-gun – NOT GOOD!

So it seems the Republicans are shit out of luck and this was an ill informed choice by a man who is so out of touch he needs a nerve transplant – stat! Move over grandpa and use your time to babysit your new veep (and pray she doesn’t mistakenly shoot you)….

Free & Fair Election Email Sent to Sen. Obama

August 29, 2008

Dear Sirs,

I am British and alas I cannot vote for President Barry (Barrack O’Bummer!). I live in and love America. I think Barrack is aspirational and inspirational. His speech was history-making and building. I love and believe almost everything he says. One thing troubles me greatly and I believe it needs addressing:

It is no secret that the voting system in the US is a farce. If you are poor and especially black, the number of electronic voting systems in such areas are few and far between. Voters in such areas often endure long lines and in many cases are turned away. In a democracy this is illegal. It is every Americans right to vote. Perhaps most scary of all is the fact that 80% of the electronic voting systems are controlled by 2 companies with Republicans on their boards.

One of those companies is Diebold and again, it is no secret that these machines can be manipulated against the Democrats. What will Sen. Obama do to mitigate voter fraud and ensure a free and fair election. We talk about ensuring free and fair elections in places like Zimbabwe – but are we any better?

What is the policy of Sen. Obama on this matter. Will he implement a new voting system if he wins the election? Will he allow people to vote online using the SSN’s and 128-bit encryption (which is safe and secure)? What will he do? In his own words “America deserves better”. Eagerly awaiting your response….

Hussein is Sane

August 29, 2008

Last night, whilst on vacation, I took some time out to watch Barrack Obamas speech at the Democratic National Convention on what was an auspicious day already.

I was blown away. I am by nature the most cynical of people but it is rare that one sees such a speech given by such a person in their lifetime. Although I don’t believe such an event is where you spell out the nuts and bolts of your policies (it’s more about show and soundbytes), I feel that he broadly gave us all an indication of what his presidency would mean.

In that speech alone, he racked up a bill of $250bn. The media were of course very quick to jump on that and take the stance of ‘where will this money come from’. I found this quite laughable. Have the GOP (Go On Prozac) not spent almost $1 trillion on a war nobody wanted or needed. That money alone could have put the US economy back on track, funded all of Obama’s plans and funded a military operation to finish the job in Afghanistan. Therefore is $250bn not a drop in the ocean?

America needs vision. When I was a young boy growing up in the UK, I used to look to America for all that was new, cutting-edge, state-of-the-art and cool. It was kind of gutting when I moved here to watch that uber-prick GWB spend this countries money like a rap star in Louis Vuitton. I mean what has America done in the past 8 years? Sure GWB may have teamed up with George Lucas to produce the epic movie Start Wars – The Empire Takes Flack but where is the vision? I recall a young JFK pledging to put a man on the moon – a seemingly impossible task (without a joint or magic mushrooms) but against all odds he did it. In our time the challenge is to find alternate energy sources so that we may live in harmony with our planet that we are merely guests on. We have the means but we lack the will. Obama, I have no doubt, will give us that momentum.

The GOP (Go on Prozac – please), will twist all his words because they are driven by fear. Like a dog takes a leak against a parking meter on the sidewalk – the GOP know no better. In my mind the Republicans are the old guard and represent everything that is wrong with America. They are insular, resource intensive (Hum-V’s and oil), greedy, hypocritical (they believe they are doing God’s work yet serve to line their own pockets) and worst of all they are bigoted. You know there is a group of old white waspy folk sitting in a barn somewhere in Texas saying ‘there is no way we can let a ni@#er run this country – my daddy would be turning in his grave’. That is what Barrack faces. In the words of Bob Dylan “the times they a-changin’”.

His speech took a lot of courage. He pledged to help 95% of the population with tax brakes. Meaning the 5% of rich people should expect higher taxes (rightly so). He will close loop-holes giving fat-cat companies less breaks and ensure they pay their way. He pledged to reduce our dependence on foreign oil within 10 years – this is a tall order but again, the right thing to do. After-al, the world’s conflicts stem from this dependence. He threw caviar at Russia (but kept the Stoli in the bottle), signaled that Afghanistan is about to have fewer caves, Iran faces being the testing ground for the new F-22 raptor/F-35 if it doesn’t quit with its nuclear rhetoric (although Israel will tell you that Mahmood just has a big mouth).

I cannot vote – Barrack O’Bummer!!! But if I could – this man would get mine. Still trying to find out if I can buy someone’s vote via eBay – does anyone know? America wake up, smell the inevitability of your actions if you vote for McCain. This is, in my opinion, a dithering fool who has about as much integrity as Iraq’s former Minister of Dis-Information. His presidency will mean more of the same from a man who is part of the elite who thinks middle class means having $5 million/or less of wealth. Doing your job and serving in Vietnam does not make you automatically qualified to run the USA. Sure he was a POW but that was part of the job description. Mr. McCain has consistently used this as his basis for being a solid man. It was over 30 years ago – get over it.

As far as I can tell, Barrack Obama is a good man, with good intentions and I am certain he will change the way we see politics and politicians. He is sane; of sound mind and I believe last night, we witnessed an historic speech by the man we come to affectionately call ‘President Barry’. The only thing between Sen. Obama and the top job is the voting system… To be continued…
